The South Bank Show, presented by Lord Melvyn Bragg, changed its opening titles each season, but the theme tune, composed by Julian Lloyd-Webber, remained the same. These opening titles are from 1984. The South Bank Show ran from 1978, when it replaced Aquarius, until 2009 and it has now been re-commissioned by Sky to run on its ats channel.
