With featured programmes including hard-hitting local investigative series such as The London Programme.

And its award-winning arts output such as the flagship The South Bank Show.

A 'New For 87' promotion from London Weekend Television, trailing The Newlywed Game.

By the end of the decade, LWT changed tack to concentrate on the high quality of its output, particularly in drama. We present a couple of promotions from 'The Best Shows' series.
