It wasn't all fun and games at LWT, the company was equally keen to push its local and national news and current affairs shows.



The 'Keep In Touch' promotions showcased the station's serious side.



With featured programmes including hard-hitting local investigative series such as The London Programme.


And its award-winning arts output such as the flagship The South Bank Show.
LWT liked to mark the festive season by getting its stars and celebrities to wish viewers a merry Christmas. Here's Tarby and Michael Aspel ...

A look ahead to entertainment for next weekend, next Friday to be precise, and a promo heralding the return of LWT's popular Friday evening news magazine show, The Six O Clock Show.

The Entertainers wasn't the only promotional device designed to push LWT's close links with leading stars. In 1984, the station commissioned a series of portraits by Royal photographer Lord Snowdon. These were duly turned into promotions and we present a selection here.
