LWT continuity promotions, 'The Entertainers' series
All about London Weekend Television's long-running series of 'The Entertainers' station identity and image promotions.
We kick-off with the first incarnation of LWT's 'The Entertainers' series from 1983. This was designed to hammer home LWT's entertainment expertise, promote its contract celebrities, and, of course, enhance local station identity. The Entertainers was introduced at the same time as the 3D LWT ident and the end of in-vision continuity. This series of lively animations backed by upbeat music helped cement the station's new, dynamic look.
